Batman Cake
This was for a friend of ours who likes batman. Since he's not a child, I had to make sure I made it more grown-up-like. Mission accomplished!

Hawaiian Luau cake for twins!
The best part about this cake was meeting the two little boys. They are just so dang cute-personality and all! I think this was my biggest birthday order to date. 2 tier, 2 smash, 24 cupcakes. I guess that happens when you have to do double. When the boys were first born, they had to color coordinate them to tell them apart. We made sure to identify them on the cake in their given color. I just love that! Sea turtles are a big thing to this family as well so we sea turtle'd it up! I had a great time with this one!

Bubble bath cake!
I love this kid and he loves bubbles so there you go. Way too fun! I loved glazing the bubbles to give them that special bubble shine and sparkle.

Cars 2 Cake
I wish I had been able to put a little more love into this cake. I intended to spend more time on it (quality-wise) and add a few things but besides my crazy week last week and the crazy one I'm currently in, all 3 of my kiddo's developed ear infections Friday and Saturday. I was really lagging when it came time to make this one. I also had to research Cars 2 (sad, I have 2 boys and I know nothing of the sequel to Cars). I guess it's about some sort of world race (hence the Earth).

Godzilla Cake
My Ryker turned 3 on Saturday. Both my boys are OBSESSED with Godzilla. You may be asking yourself "how in the world can a 3 year old be obsessed with such an old and outdated fictitious character?". The answer: Netflix. My kids stumbled upon the old Godzilla shows and cartoons and fell immediately in love. And of course his cake had to be Godzilla. The day I made it, he couldn't stop telling me how much he loved me and how cute I was (my kids are crazy affectionate when you do things they are really excited about). The cake flavors were fun too. I decided to experiment with some fillings with chocolate cake. One had M&M's and the other was peanut butter. Happy birthday my little love!

Skateboard cake II
This is actually the brother of Nathaniel from the other skateboard cake I did. We changed it up a bit to match his skateboard colors. I love the graffiti font. These are a couple of pretty cool kids, for sure!

John Deere Cake
I can't believe this little boy is two already. I made his mother her shower cake when she was pregnant with him (the cowboy one). That was also about the time I was just getting into cake decorating. Man how time flies. Gotta love his name too!

Dragon Castle Cake
This was for one of my sons favorite friends. It was definitely a hit among the heard of young boys at this party. Rustin's reaction was priceless. Super cool!

Train Cake!
You know you don't have to wonder if your customer liked their cake when they are leaping for joy! I had a lot of fun putting this one together. Worth every ounce of work!

Ohio State football cake
I made a very similar cake like this last year for the exact same young man. He told his mom he wanted it to be exactly the same as last years' cake but she at least talked him into using a different team. And instead of Snickers in the filling, we tried Reeces. I think I liked working with these colors much better.

Mini Dino Cake
This cake was actually a pretty tall order. This was for a two year old who was allergic to animal fat and yellow die. So the cake and frosting inside had to be vegan (nothing I do or have done is vegan-not even my salads :)). And then the yellow die meant I couldn't use green, orange, etc. This cake could have really used some green but for a toddler, he probably didn't notice. I wanted to make a dinosaur that stood on 4 legs but my husband said boys like T-rex. So this was my attempt at it. I decided I really need to use modeling chocolate but turns out, that stuff is pricey. I've been watching cake boss lately and envy at what amazing work comes out of his shop. I don't like how he yells all the time but I would love to work for him for a week.

Abracadabra!
I know very little about magic but what's the first thing that comes to your mind? A hat with a rabbit, right? I was going make a rabbit poking his head up but I ran out of time. This was for a 16 year old and I was told he's actually really good and had a relative who did it professionally. Pretty darn cool if you ask me! Oh, I don't know if I have this down as a flavor but this was a marble cake. The best of both worlds.

Train cake
When I made this cake in August, I didn't think I had done a very good job of it. We last minute added my nephew to my father in-laws birthday party and of course the little 3 year old had to have his own cake. So in an hour, I concocted this. I never took a picture but found this on my sister in-laws FB page the other day and decided it's pretty cute for the amount of time I had. Ha ha!

I am Iron Man- nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah
Me and my boys sing that tune all the time. It's so cool. Iron Man is HUGE in our family and my poor Jaxon thought this cake was for him. I think the black with the flames makes it such a boy cake. I got to see the 5 year-old's reaction to it. He was so stinking cute!

Monkey cake
My husband said my monkey looked more like a mouse. Supposedly the ears are a little big. WHATEVER! I like big ears! Again, the banana's are my fave. I had a great idea after I was done with this cake. Wouldn't it be cool to flavor the banana's? I know they sell flavored fondant but how cool would it be to bite into a banana flavored-fondant banana?

Another reptile cake
Pretty much the identical of a previous cake but I made the reptiles a little bigger to fill the cake space up. I also added the smash cake. My boys stayed up late with me to watch me make it. They're obsessed with these creatures!
