This one has a lot going on. Perfect for a little girls birthday. I was given a picture to use for this cake and in my head, I never would have thought these colors together would have worked but they do. Now starts my two week break from cake! I'm almost done with my calendar and will post it soon.

Snowflakes!
This was another mini for my friends birthday. I thought since it's the holiday season, I'd try out my new snowflake cutters for her cake. Aren't they so cool!?!?! I was sloppy with the bow but oh well. I'm sad I don't have any more Christmas cakes-I have to wait till next year to use them again. Happy birthday friend!

I hate to say it...
I know I said I woudn't do this but I have decided to take the advice of several family and friends and raise my prices. :( I need to turn this "job" back into the hobby it was intended to be. Always grateful for referrals and I appreciate all who frequent my blog and order my cakes. Love you all! I will work on adding a calendar this week. I would like to keep cake order's to no more than 1 a week but if you see a week is taken, and you really want a cake, let me know and I will see if I can work you in for a slightly higher cost. Like I have said, wish I could do this full time but my life has no room right now.
Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Football/Cheer Cake
I have been dreading this cake for a couple weeks now for 2 reasons. One, I knew it was going to be super time consuming and two, I didn't know if my idea was going to pan out (making cheerleader's). Luckily, it didn't take quite as long as anticipated (but I didn't get everything on there I'd hoped) and my little cheerleader's came out pretty cute. This cake was for a party for a little Pop Warner football team and cheer squad. We were going to do two separate cakes for the teams but I liked the idea of combining them since they are all part of the same organization. This was my last BIG cake project for the month and I only have two more smaller ones and then I can get ready for Christmas! Woo Hoo!

Pink Scrolls
I took a "creative" chance on this one and wasn't super thrilled with the results. I think if I'd done the cake pink with white scrolls, it may have looked better-or maybe a lighter pink. I dunno. It's still cute but not what I hoped. The sweet woman who ordered this cake seemed to like it and that's all that matters. She also gave me a Christmas present! It was all wrapped and everything and it totally made my day! I've never seen anything like it before. Isn't it so cool?! I love it! She said it would make me laugh and it so did! In case you can't tell, it's a cake server with a magnetic heal to make it look like a shoe. Ha! Thank you so much! I so love you!

Sports Cake
So I have to give my hubby a little credit on this one. I was a little stuck figuring out how to incorporate 3 sports for a father of 7.5 kids turning 40. I had some other ideas but they were a bit more childish. So Brian suggested I make the cake a basketball hoop. I thought it was a fun idea-I just hoped others could tell that's what it was supposed to be. Being a huge sports fan myself, I had a lot of fun with this one. The cap and score board are my fave's.

Another mini cake
I started this cake around midnight on Saturday after having one of the craziest Fridays of my life! Not super creative or colorful but turned out alright for how simple it was. I also bought some new rose petal cutters and just had to try them out!

Twins Blessing and Sealing day!
I was so honored to make this cake for this occasion. This couple adopted a set of twins-one boy and one girl. The babies were being blessed and sealed in the temple to their new parents. Can it get any sweeter? Since I couldn't find small booty cutter's, I had to carve my own. Somehow, I had no issues. I was so mad I forgot to take a picture of it and made a stop before delivery at a curb-hideous I know but at least something. I'm hoping to get a better pic from the family.
Edited 01/22/10 with better pix
