I love simple cakes! I like how the pink turned out on this one. The flavor is pretty much chocolate covered strawberries. Sounds delish! I'll need to try that for myself sometime.

Things that make you go hhhmmmmmm...
I debated back and forth whether or not I should post this cake. I assume most of you viewers have no clue what this is. I surely didn't until my little sister told me one day "I want a Domo cake for my birthday." I then replied "Domo? What's that?" She googled it for me and pulled up a picture and I was dumbfounded. My other sister showed me some of its videos which only made it harder to understand what was so appealing about this thing. BUT, because I adore my sister and she did officially become an adult today, I granted her wish for a Domo cake. I'm only worried with what she'll come up with next year. :) Happy Birthday Shelli!

Happy 4th/Birthday
My first traveling cake and hopefully my last. We went on a family trip to Colorado this weekend and my sister-in-law's birthday is July 4th. I decided to bring all my cake stuff and put together a cake for her birthday. It was my first experience in Colorado and though beautiful, it was very humid that day and made putting this cake together a challenge. My fondant was practically melting and I wasn't able to smooth anything out. Luckily we made it work and the birthday girl loved it. Thanks to my awesome sister's who helped design and decorate. Happy birthday Liz!

God Bless America
Doesn't the US have the best colors or what?! When I got the order for this cake several weeks ago, this is the first idea that came to my head and I could never think or find anything else I liked better for a 4th of July cake. The family that ordered it has been my best customers. They have not only ordered several cakes from me (almost to the point I should say "buy 9 cakes get the 10th one free" :)) but they have brought me lots of business as well. They give me all the creative freedom I want and it has been great practice for me. Thank you so much Spier Fam! Happy 4th everyone!
